The AFTCO 6′ Flying Gaff Handle combines strength, precision and dependable offshore performance. Its slim, tapered tip moves efficiently through the water, helping anglers place the gaff accurately when landing powerful gamefish.
The aluminium shaft is swaged to provide uniform strength from end to end while reducing unnecessary weight. A compatible flying gaff hook seats securely inside a durable plastic tip insert and is held by a 30 lb test breakaway line attached to a steel post. Once the fish is gaffed, the line snaps to provide a clean and immediate hook release.
A machined aluminium gimbal at the butt secures the attachment rope, while the sealed tip insert helps prevent water from entering the shaft. The handle remains buoyant without the hook attached, helping prevent loss if accidentally dropped overboard.
Finished with corrosion-resistant gold anodizing and two black non-slip grips, the handle provides comfortable and secure control in demanding saltwater conditions. It is compatible with AFTCO Flying Gaff Hooks in 5, 6, 8, 10 and 13-inch sizes.
