The Golden Mean Light Porgy R LPS-70R Spinning Rod is designed for anglers who need a lightweight, sensitive and well-balanced rod for finesse saltwater fishing. Originally developed for targeting sea bream, the Light Porgy R series is also suitable for light rock fishing and other applications using small lures.
Its high-quality carbon blank provides excellent sensitivity, allowing anglers to detect subtle bites and monitor lure movement more effectively. The blank remains lightweight while offering the strength and responsiveness required for controlled casting and accurate lure presentation.
The butt section is reinforced with a carbon-weave construction. This additional reinforcement improves durability and helps maintain stability without adding unnecessary weight. The two-piece Put Over Joint design makes the rod easier to transport while maintaining a smooth and consistent action when assembled.
Fuji SiC K-Guides with stainless-steel frames support smooth line flow during casting. The low-rider tip guide helps reduce line tangles, particularly when using thin braided lines commonly selected for light spinning techniques.
The rod is equipped with a Fuji TVS reel seat that provides secure reel positioning and improved blank contact. Its split handle combines natural cork and EVA material, delivering a comfortable grip, practical durability and excellent overall balance.
