Gamakatsu Kamaitachi Jigging Hook Series
The Gamakatsu Kamaitachi Jigging Hook Series is engineered specifically for slow pitch jigging, featuring an ultra-short axis design and wide-gap shape that excels in hooking fish during the fall bite. Built using Gamakatsu’s advanced TGW (Thin Gauge Wire) high-toughness material, the hook achieves exceptional strength while keeping the shaft lightweight—preserving the delicate, natural action of slow-pitch jigs.
The Kamaitachi series is barbless to minimize injury, increase penetration speed, and provide safer catch-and-release performance. A slight press on the bend heel maintains a smooth round shaft, reducing weak points and maximizing durability.
Because of its compact ultra-short axis, hooks do not interfere with each other, making it easy to mount them on both the front and rear of short jigs. Ideal for bottom species and structure-oriented predators such as scorpionfish, groupers, rockfish, and also effective for hairtail (beltfish) jigging.
