The AFTCO Release Fish Tailer is designed to bring boated fish under control quickly while reducing the risk of injury to fish intended for release.
A wide, springy stainless steel aircraft cable loop slips easily over the fish’s tail. A quick upward pull closes the loop securely, limiting the fish’s movement and making it easier to measure, tag, release or lift the fish into the boat.
The built-in cable swivel helps manage fish that roll or twist, making the tailer particularly useful when handling sharks and other powerful species. The smaller closing cable is plastic coated to help protect the fish during use.
Its 4 ft handle is made from durable aluminum and finished with rich gold anodizing for lasting resistance to saltwater corrosion. Two soft yet rugged black non-slip grips provide secure handling in wet marine conditions.
The AFTCO MST1GLD is suitable for controlling and lifting fish weighing up to approximately 100 lb.
