The short assist design matches compact jigs perfectly, providing fast penetration and solid hook-up performance without overpowering the lure’s action.
To withstand the sharp teeth and sudden bursts of Spanish mackerel, the GA-042 uses a thick, durable hook combined with a core-wire assist line, greatly reducing assist breakage and enhancing reliability during high-speed attacks.
Ideal for both shore and offshore jigging, this hook is also effective when paired with Gamakatsu’s Fighting Line to reduce line damage during aggressive strikes.
