The Golden Mean GM Compact Spear and Ultimate Gaff M Set provides powerful support when landing large fish from rocks, breakwaters, piers and other shore-fishing locations. Its compact design makes the set easy to transport while providing the reach and strength required to secure fish that cannot be landed by hand.
The GM Compact Spear extends to a standard overall length of 1.95 metres, helping anglers reach fish positioned below elevated fishing areas or slightly beyond the shoreline. When collapsed, the ten-section telescopic shaft measures only 31.5 cm, making it convenient to store in a fishing bag, backpack or tackle case.
The shaft is constructed from 70% carbon fibre with epoxy resin, offering a practical balance of strength, stiffness and manageable weight. It weighs approximately 300 grams and features a black finish exclusive to the set model.
The included GM Ultimate Gaff Size M is made from SUS304 stainless steel, a material selected for its strength and resistance to corrosion in demanding saltwater environments. Golden Mean’s original shaft and blade-tip shape is designed to penetrate efficiently while helping reduce the risk of the fish slipping free during retrieval.
A protective blade-tip cover is supplied for safer transport and storage. The set also includes a 6 mm diameter, 3-metre climbing rope, which can assist with lifting heavier catches and help reduce excessive pressure on the telescopic shaft.
