The Hots Gipang Ryujin series represents the pinnacle of GT rod design, combining light weight, high sensitivity, and extreme power in a single package. Developed through long-term field testing in the demanding waters of Okinawa’s Ryukyu Islands, these rods are engineered to reduce angler fatigue while maintaining the strength needed to face the violent power of monster GTs.
Built on a high-elastic carbon blank, each model offers a smooth bending curve for shock absorption, paired with exceptional butt power to lift fish from deep water or away from structure. The responsive blank makes it possible to execute delicate lure actions such as short twitching and darting retrieves—even under tough conditions—without sacrificing strength.
The name “GIPANG” is a blend of GT and Zipang (Japan), symbolizing Japanese craftsmanship and offshore big game fishing heritage. The “RYUJIN” name honors the seas of Okinawa, where much of the testing was conducted. Suitable for severe Japanese coastal GT fishing and equally effective in big game locations worldwide.
