About this product
The Shimano Vanford FA Spinning Reels embody the pinnacle of lightweight engineering and precision performance for modern anglers. As the core model in Shimano’s Magnumlite series, the Vanford FA is designed to deliver unmatched sensitivity and effortless reeling—perfect for technical and finesse fishing styles across freshwater and inshore saltwater applications.
At the heart of the reel lies the MGL Rotor, crafted from Shimano’s lightweight Ci4+ composite. Its asymmetrical design reduces startup inertia by 25%, offering enhanced control and responsiveness during stop-and-go lure presentations. Further, Shimano integrates cutting-edge technologies like InfinityXross and Infinity Drive, which minimize internal friction and maximize gear power, longevity, and precision.
Built for harsh conditions, the Vanford FA features a DuraCross drag system, engineered for superior smoothness and tenfold durability over standard systems. Alongside the HAGANE Body and MicroModule II Gear, anglers benefit from a reel that’s both durable and incredibly refined. Whether chasing bass, trout, seabass, or squid, the Vanford FA provides elite performance across a variety of lure games.
