About this product
The El Horizonte 78 is one of TULALA’s iconic heavy-duty rods, created around the concept of combining power and flexibility in the same blank. Originally developed for large-fish applications using big baits, it is designed to cast and control heavy lures while retaining enough flexibility to absorb aggressive head shakes and rolling fish after hook-up. Its regular-fast action and powerful mid-to-butt section allow the rod to load smoothly with heavier lures. Although rated from 11–200 g, the particularly comfortable working range is around 2–4 oz / 56–113 g, while the broad overall lure range makes it useful when travelling with limited tackle. The strong butt section provides lifting power for controlling large fish around rocks, structure and strong current, while the softer characteristics through the upper blank help maintain pressure during demanding fights. The official TULALA specifications confirm 7'8" length, 181 cm folded length, 230 g weight, PE #8 max and 11–200 g cast weight.
