About this product
The Owner CA-161 Big Game Plug Assist (No. 12368) is purpose-built for anglers targeting exceptionally large saltwater predators with oversized plugs. Its EX-short assist design helps reduce the chance of the hook wrapping around the lure or fishing line, while allowing the plug to maintain a stable swimming action. The rig uses OWNER's heavy-duty S-161M single hook with TAFF WIRE construction and SW Magic Fusso treatment for smoother penetration and enhanced corrosion resistance. A highly durable Zylon assist cord connects the hook to a strong solid ring, creating a rig designed to withstand extreme pressure during high-drag fights. The 17/0 version weighs approximately 16g, offers 206lb / 93.5kg strength, and is recommended for plugs around 270mm.
